I was planning to winterize my bike this week (live in Michigan). But reading Knotso's thread on heated gear got me thinking that maybe I can hold off for 3-4 weeks or until snow falls. Curious when others in cold climates are going to call it quits for the year?

Well my 88 and sunny turned into 60 and misty rain all day. I'm hoping that besides adding sta-bil every tankful I don't need to do anything else. Our winters are mild enough that I should still be able to ride at least once a week. Not trying to highjack the thread, but what else besides sta-bil should i need to do as long as I keep the dog on the tender and ride it at least once a week? Got it last Feb and only had a week that I couldn't ride, and have never done anything to my Vrod 'cept sta-bil and the tender.

Hey it was 50 and sunny on Sunday great riding weather. I usually wait until I see some salt hit the streets. They usually don't salt for the first couple times we get snow. And who knows maybe this state will be so broke this winter that they can't afford the salt or the labor.

I'm in NH. This Saturday it hit 74 degrees. rode it for a while, put the fuel stabilizer in, filled up the tank, rode 15 more miles, then prepped it for the winter. WINTER SUCKS!!!!

Figured with what I was seeing for the extended weather report, it was time. Already started the count down to April 1st.

I rode mine down to FL to spend its winter in my buddies garage. Second year I've done this and really like it. Ride it down in Oct. and ride it back after Daytona Bike week or Myrtle Beach. Love being able to fly down a few times over the winter and ride it for a long weekend. Doesn't make the winter seem so long.

Got my k-9 last August. Prepped it for winter a couple of months later....but couldn't stay off it. As long as the roads were clear and dry and temp was above at least 40, I was gone.
