Why? there are some pics of bikes posted in other threads with the bigger front tire. They just don't look right. Plus it will take away from the resale value of the bike. If you do go ahead with it keep in mind that the bigger wheel is harder to stop and should have dual brakes installed on it. Leave it the way it is. It's a great looking bike.

I can't give you an exact answer but it seems like as long as your suspension has room to move up and down as it should without scraping you'll be fine. Maybe have custom brackets made to extend the fender up higher. It looks like you've only got a couple extra inches there anyways. If you know anyone who can weld aluminum brackets should be pretty easy to make.

Go with a 30" at least, that's what's hot now. And like Paul suggested I would go with a tire that fits the rim. Make sure you wear jeans with flap pockets, long and pointy cowboy boots, and a shirt with lots of print on it to complete the loser look though.

Ouch ! that was a little bit harsh. Hell, I wear shirts with lots of print, they all say Harley Davidson, and even have pictures on em. It's his bike. If he likes it, who does it hurt? If he want's to paint it pink with green polka dots, it's no skin off my neck.
