What kind of self-leveling primer is best?

out of maybe half a dozen paint jobs I've done, I found that not all primers are created equal. the best one was actually out of an aerosol spray can, it filled in all the imperfections and turned out baby smooth. then the paint job looked great as a result. I didn't record the brand I used. any recommendations on a self-leveling primer? tia

I would not recommend anything from a can. They are typically over thinned to shot out of a can.

I’d buy a gun and compressor, inexpensive at places like harbor freight.

Then shoot a good 2k primer, something like shopline is great and inexpensive too

Yeah, I would shoot 2k primer from a gun but......
