That is supposedly your ignition module. If you got no wires to it then they must have replaced your ignition in the nose cone. That is the stock thunderheart module and then there was a straight cam sensor in your nose cone.

My guess if you open up the nose cone you have an aftermarket with the ignition module all in one package like a crane or twintech

Stock it was cam sensor in nose come and ignition module in the battery tray area.

That is a thunder heart ingniton module. What do to mean by no wires going to it? It should have two black bundles of wires coming out of the side of it a three wire and a four wire. The three wire picks up a magnetic signal from the cam sensor. The four wire powers the module and outputs power to the coils. The red light is tied to the outputs of the module. If bike is cranking the light will flash. After starting the light will appear to stay on.I am not sure about the black port. It is a computer connection I think it helps with setting factory timing and/or rev limiter.

That looks like a Thunder Heart Ignition Module. If you bike is running and there are no wires going to it, count your blessing. If you bike isn't running :crazybitch: then you have a problem. Why this one is between the gas tanks I would say it is not :panic: :panic: a very good location for it . To best of my knowledge most BDM have the ignition module attached to the battery Box. Maybe its a spare one

T is the origional Thunderheart ignition module. That is where they were located from the factory. Post a pic of what is in the nose cone on you're engine.

On the right side of the engine there is a flat cover about three inches in diameter. It is at the end of a cone shaped piece. It is held on by two small screws. Take it off and post a pic of what is in there. Don't fiddle with anything in there.

Middle pic, below the air cleaner wher the exhaust pipe wraps around. The cover has what looks like flames on it.
