What does a grren light on a ECU mean??

I have a 2004 Big dog Bulldog with a 107ss motor.

I have a green light on my ECU and the bike will not try to start at all.

The front and back blinkers work, the speedo comes on and thats all

The headlight will not come on, the horn will not blow, the bike will not try to start at all. I mean like it is dead. The battery is fully charged as I keep it on a tender.

When the green light goes off, everything is ok

Any Idea what this green light means and how to correct it.

I not positive on your bike, but the green light on my 05 Ridgeback relates to the starter.

The EHC is designed to help find failure in wiring and components by using built in visual and software diagnostics.

LED"S on the top of the EHC (fault indicators) give a visual representation of real time failures of the circuit. If you have an open circuit the light will come on continuously, and if the fault is a short to ground or over current, the light will blink.

The above is right out of the service manual, Which tell me that there may be something wrong with your starter. Try putting in gear rock the bike and see if it will start. If not, I would remove the solenoid and clean the contacts. Do a search on here and find out what others have done to fix their starter problems.

Good Luck and ride safe

I talked to Nelson about the green light and he asked me If i hooked uped any lights to the bike. I added some LEDs. He told me that you can not hook up any lights to the 04 Bulldog as it affects the voltage that affects the EHC.

Well I took of the LEDs and I have no more problems

I can not believe that the LEDs were causing the Issue.

Thanks Nelson!!!

Yep, my 03 wouldn't even accept custom spark plug wires.

Glad you are good to go now.
