Went down yesterday...

The custom I built in June went down yesterday; only going 10mph thru a 90 degree bend and the car in front of me slowed down pretty hard, next thing I knew I was on my right side looking at gas coming out of my gas cap.

a few bumps and bruises with a small laceration on my right elbow.

I don't own a Big Dog but I used a SupperTrapp exhaust muffler setup from an 07 Mastiff...other BD Suppertrapp will work also.

Anyone have a set of takeoff's they're willing to let go of?

if so I'll make you a great deal... off a 07 pittbull, never used, by me, only 23-25 miles from bdm

just cause your so special (ha ha) thay are free.. havent been able to sell them in over a year,, no flanges though,, used them on other pipes,, just pay shipping,, remember thay are heaver than other pipes, I think I got the bracket to,, I'll have to look... I gave you a PM get back with me

This is a great site guys! Some of you may remember me from a few months ago... took me about 10 months to build the bike of my dreams...I just want to get it back on the road; it kills me to even see one scratch on this machine.

Hog, glad you are ok. As for the pipes you may only need the rear muffler part. Eric's pipe is for a RSD 300 tire so the front pipes may push them out depending on what size tire you are running on your custom. But the muffler part will work fine.

good point dude, he said thay will fit, but the rsd might be a issue

I'm sure they will work...My beat-up exhaust came from an 07 Mastiff that was right side drive. My custom is a left side drive but needs the clearance of a right drive exhaust for the 250 tire.

If they don't work - I have an original BD exhaust from '06 Chopper model (never used) - was taken off at time of purchase.
