I don't care to look at the RPMs or MPH and would like to get rid of the speedo/tach but need to have a mileage counter (so I know when to get gas) and know when I'm in neutral. Blinker indicators would be nice too but can live without it if I had to I just look at the front blinker.
I don't suppose there's some old analog setup available that's only a mile counter and gear/signal indicator?

There was a guy on hear a long time ago that 3d printed a phone holder to replace his speedo. Then he uses an app on the phone for mph/trip. BUT I think your trip would be reset each time you exited the app. You will have to do a search.

I use an app on my Android phone for mph, and odometer, it only resets if you want it to.

Don't know where you live but if you're in a state that requires inspections for the motorcycle like Pennsylvania those items are required so just be careful

How do you know when you're in neutral? (my neutral misses several times before it goes into neutral)

DC doesn't have motorcycle inspections

I ran a line of LED’s along the bottom of the phone cradle. All 7 including low fuel, Check engine, turns, neutral, oil pressure hi beam. Very simple with the exception of the EFI LED’s

Mostly use Waze now also. Shows map, has built in speedo, with speed limit, Spotify controls, and of course police warning.

Or sometimes use this speedo app

Visibility is fine unless the phone overheats and goes into overheat mode which dims it.

Yes it’s 3D printed then primed/blocked and painted gloss black.

if you look at the second pic without the phone you can see the screw pockets. It’s drilled and tapped into the bars.

If you crack your throttle just a hair at the same time your putting it in neutral it will go right in

No but according to https://www.msf-usa.org/downloads/Equipment_Chart_2015-MSFlogo.pdf you are required to have a speedometer in DC on the highway so I would do some further checking before you go this route. Could make for an annoying at the least stop if you get pulled over for something.
dc police have a no-chase policy for bikes and atvs since guys have gone on the sidewalk to get away thereby endangering pedestrians.
I’ve made illegal turns, sped etc and not noticed a cop until too late but they haven’t come after me

If you just want to go small look at this https://motogadget.com/shop/en/motoscope-mini.html
I have that on my K9 and I like it. then add neutral light led where ever you please or get bracket from Motogadget.
In US at least Revival Cycles sells it and they have nice videos about it and about motogadget products.
Can I see a couple of pictures of your motogadget I almost went that route but bought the plug and play from axel instead. I was told 3 times the m-unit wouldn’t work because the switches on bars required to low of amps???? Yours seems to be working fine I have two bikes one with axels Unit and one stock. Please take set one pix and details. Thanks

Can someone post an example of only the neutral light? I think I can live without a mileage counter.
Then the question becomes, it removing the existing speedo gauge just a simple unhook but then how do you secure the cable(s) that were going to it?

I was talking about the speedo, not m-unit. to my understanding that is pretty good system though.

for example you can drill a small hole on top of the the ignition coil cover (where the key is) and install a small led there. plenty of room for say neutral, oil pressure lights.... Thats were I have my idiot lights...
