hello, So Im in the process of purchasing a 05 Mastiff, a problem has come up. The bike is titled as an 05 yet the vin indicates its an 04. Any advice? Its not much of an issue except for the insurance and lean holder have raised questions. I've emailed Big Dog but have yet to hear back from them. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

So which one is right? Is the bike titled as an '05 but actually an '04? I would think the VIN is correct. You should be able to look at it and tell. How about a pic? That would let the forum see what you actually have.

Ya know DMV does make mistakes, they listed my bike as a BigBo when I first reg'd it and I never noticed, when I did,I had to bring the cert.of build(or origin, can't remember what it is called) and get a replacement title.

Yeah its titled as an 05 but Vin is 04. Here is a pic. Bank will not approve the loan until its cleared up.

Looks to me like it is designated an 04. I would say the original dealer fucked up the title processing. This will most likely be a DMV fix.

In case you don't know. All BD's 05 and newer are RSD. All 04 and older are LSD except the Bulldog that was RSD 03 and 04.

Make the dealer fix it if that's where your buying it from. It'll probably be easier for them to handle it.
