Anyone know a part number in black that will fit my 05 chopper? Tired of seeing the always used big radius on it already, and not spending $1100 for the yaffe phantoms.
Why not try something like these. Heard nothing but good about them and you can quite them down when you want. Price is right also! There are a few peeps on here running them... https://shop.patriotpipes.com/defender-pipes/softail.html
My engine guy has nothing but bad to say about the vance and hines pipes. He says they consistently make less horse and torque then the patriots that brew mentioned above. usually sees 6-10 hp gain and a better torque curve with the patriots
Yes they fit out scoots, I think Mr. Wright has them on his scoot, he might know which softail to order against. I'm not sure if you need to make or modify the support bracket or not, but he might be able to help make things clear as butter...
I've seen the short softail version on k-9's right on this site. If I remember correctly he posted the part number, and it mounted right to frame without a hitch. I have a bagger, and I'm taking the gamble. I'm ordering the long softail version. Hoping it works. Of course custom bracketry for me, but that's no big deal. I also have to relocate my front floorboards for clearance. (stock header routed over top of cam cover instead of below). As long as they clear everything else I'll be happy. Another Exhaust that will surely work Is the R&B LSR 2:1 pro stock.
It's not a very good picture, but I like them alot. They have a deep tone, and everyone comments on how good they sound.
Sniper just had a bunch of engine work done on his K9. It dyno'ed at 141 HP, the guy that did the work, told him that if he got rid of the Vance and Hines pipes, he would gain almost 10 more HP.
