I got bored watching football, so decided to install the newly chromed manifold on my K9. After I got everything off decided to take a flashlight and look down inside the cases. The front case rear valve has a lot of black crusty tar looking shit on the top of it. The front valve on the rear case is much better but still has some. Is this normal? It looks awful but I have never been this far inside an engine so I don't know what it is suppossed to look like. I could use so advice before I put it back together
