V&H big radius questions for a 05 chopper

Greetings! Been lurking here for a while in the hunt for a bike, well I picked up my 05 chopper (not DT) last friday. Sadly the rear heatshield on the mean muther pipes was lose and was lost on the ride home . I'm trying to find out if I could buy just the heat shield ... not so much luck on that, so the V&H big radius comes to mind as a solution.

But I have 2 questions:

1) How much of a concern in the scraping?
2) Do I need to move my passanger peg?

i got em and they scrape the ground if im 2up and banking to the right. shit happens

The newer design has eliminated the scraping issue on my '07 K9. They are higher on the curve and the right foot peg scrapes and lets me know I'm leaning it just enough to stop. You may have to get newer designed peg clevises as the pipes are now higher. :up:

Update:

called super trapp, they told me to call BDM as all the stuff is licensed through them. Could not find a BDM factory number so I called the dealership. They needed to call BDM as the heat shield only is not in online system.

Dealer has BDM part number for the heat shield only, the part is around $100, its on order, I'll post the part number and the results.

I have an 05 Chopper DT and I rarely scrape. My buddies 06 Mastiff scraped all the time but you couldn't see anything.

Hell I'm dragging my POS MeanMothers!!! My rear shield is broken too, rigged it up for now. :angry:

My foot pegs scrape sometimes if I hit a bump I scrape my frame while turning but i dont really care. If you ride her shell get some bumps and bruises.
