Well, My left gas cap was tight. Gently used a rag and channel locks to remove it. Amazingly, the paint saver came out of the tank with the cap. Guess they arent glued in there as well as they should be.

Yep, same thing for me last year. Good luck getting the other side out as easily. Good news is, though, once they both come out, Harley caps work just fine.

If you want to replace it with the paint saver, there is currently one for sale on ebay. Item # 160827895699 ~ twenty bucks right now & six more for shipping (paint saver & gas cap). I used JB Weld on BOTH of mine (03 Pit Bull) worked great.

Unfortunately, I just order some new gas caps friday from landmark. Then, the paint saver comes out. Im thinking the fuel broke down the epoxy on the left side. I bet your right the other side wont come out. lol

My right side did that so I cleaned out the jb weld crap ordered a new gasket from bdm just reinstalled using only the new rubber gasket and no leaks. Managed to order new threads from landmark before they stopped taking orders for them too.

I noticed a couple of months ago, my gas cap on my BDM Chopper is getting harder to unscrew. I now only turn it 1.5 rounds about 3/4 down or I have hell getting it undone.
