Twincam Squish info

Ran accross this long thread at Harley Tech Talk. It has what I thought was a very interesting theoretical discussion about the importance of Squish by some of the top Twin Cam builders in the country.

Expect only a serious performance junky could appreciate this but it may be of interest to some.

Sul,
I was also very impressed with the research some of those folks were doing with grooves. The one I read last night had cut the grooves and then intentionally set the AFR to 14.2/1 at WFO. Seem to have best dyno power and no ping problems in that area. That seems to go against anything I thought I knew about AFR at WFO but then again these builders are way smarter than I'll ever be.

This was on 117" Axtell build with 10.5 CR, 89 octane fuel producing 122hp and 139tq with a very broad torque band. I'd love to have that kind of torque in my 117"

Torque is king for sure. My dog is faster than most crotch rockets and it really pisses them off! Good read, thanks!
