turn indicator flickering

IM riding along and noticed the left turn indicator flickering(not flashing). Freak me out to begin with cause without my glasses I thought it was the oil pressure light. It operates normaly when the turn signal is used. Anyone have experience with this issue and what was the culprit?

I have for the most part found a bad wire or ground. Not saying this is your problem but thats where I would start looking.

Awhile is right. I one time had a broken spark plug in the insulator and my hazards would go on and off. Blinkers would start and stop by themselves. Really weird stuff. I would look for a bare wire or one that is hanging on by a thread.

I just started getting a flickering oil pressure light... mine will flash off sequence from the turn signal while its flickering so I'm pretty sure I have a bad ground. Good luck finding your problem and let me know where you find your problem and I'll do the same.

After removing the side panels, disconnecting, cleaning, and swabing silicone grease in each connector, the problem has vanished. I did find two wires ( see picture) that had strands exposed, which I applied liquid tape, then electrical tape.
Anyway, just wanted to post in case this can be of help to someone else.
