I just put this front end on a friend's 2004 Chopper over the weekend, and figured I'd post up some pics. The front end came from Demons, and the finish is pretty damn nice. It's a 6 degree rake, 12" over. It was dirt cheap ($450) so we'll see how it holds up.

Had to make up some spacers to fit the fender on there, and we ditched the BD brace. I wasn't sure how it would work out, but there seems to be no front end twist under braking so far..

He wanted a chrome caliper so he got this one from ebay, it's a 99 down. The BD PM caliper will work but you would need a 2000 up adapter.

Looks good Moe!

Question? With the 12 over on the 6 degree trees, bike looks a little high on the front. With that (and ditching the BD brace) do you or the owner notice any difference in the ride (good or bad)?

I was always under the impression that the fork brace was for higher speeds and wobble as well as braking. Have you had a chance to take it down the road to see how it handles? I see your suffering from the snow like us!

I think as long as you have a substantial fender, it "acts" like a fork brace. My custom chopper is long in front and I worried that I needed a fork brace but I have never noticed a wobble at high speed OR braking. (Not sure I would want to run without a fender though).

I took it up to 90 or so and it was good. A little more "loose" than it was, but nothing serious.

I have that exact front end on my sportster. I found it cheap as well on ebay. $200 I think a year ago or so. I just did not get the forks with it. It is a nice looking front end. They can be found from time to time. I forget the exact maker.
