Transmission Problem

What's the industry best practice to get the engine / trans inside primary square in the frame easily? I've got it all loose / accessible and dry fitting inside primary etc...

Note, I'm looking for tips that don't involve eyeballing it; I've been through enough tires and poor handling for 25k miles... Everything is loose / dry for a clean start. (Lost 4 of 6 bolts and all shims somewhere on east coast). New shims and bolts installed ready for final setting.

Any pro tips to share? I've got all kinda tools including some lasers...
