Transmission mounted pipes?

It looks like I'm going to go with the Bassani Pro-street pipes. However, the company I'm purchasing them from has told me they only come in a transmission mount version. It appears to me though that my '05 Chopper has pipes mounted to the chassis.

He said the Bassanis that are made for right-side drive bikes all have the tranny mount bracket, and that he's put them onto plenty of Big Dogs in the past. Can someone clear this up for me? Does one basically make a bracket that utilizes the tranny mount of the pipe, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks!

My martin brothers trendkill pipes came with a trans mount. It uses the front 2 bolts on the right side, I did have to buy longer bolts.

Running a Lake pipe mounted to a tranny forward bolt with a fab'd bracket. No problem. If the pipe has length or much weight to them, then mounting to the frame is always better. Should be able to fab a bracket to go whichever way you like best....
