Ill send ya a case of it. Go to youtube and look up royal purple. I have always been a fan. The stuff rocks. It will even take the slam out of your tranny, when you shift.

Amsoil here too! Never tried royal purple, but Amsoil made a significant difference in my tranny also.

I personally saw this test 2 weeks ago. All the oils used, yes even amsoil ate right through the bearing. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqvhRi7-iMA]YouTube - Royal Purple Synthetic Oil Explained V8TV[/ame]

Synthetic oil use in Tranny

I have a 2006 Ridgeback i bought used, the engine oil was black as coal, I replaced the oil with Amsoil 20W50 Synthetic. My owners manual says not to use Harley Synthetic in the Tranny, why not? and is it safe to use other synthetic gear oil, like amsoil synthetic in my tranny? and what is best for Primary? I havent changed that yet.

Thanks for any help,

Rob....:flag:

I personally don't like the HD synthetic in the tranny because it's still a 20W50 weight. It's been my experience that trannys tend to be more noisy and shift a little rougher when using HD Syn3. The inside of a transmission is a pretty harsh environment and has different needs for fluid than primary/engine. The top 3 brands I sell is Amsoil severe gear, Mobil1 75/90 and Redline with Shockproof. There's really not a bad choice between them. I'd run any of them in my personal bike with no worries but you'll never catch a 20W50 of ANY brand in my transmission.

Spectro heavy duty Platinum 75W140. I've noticed a difference in shifting. It is smooth
If baker is recomneding it I felt it could not be bad
