I recently sold my Karata open primary to a forum member “Titus722” – William. A stand up individual and a true pleasure to deal with, thank you William.

So I have the primary uninstalled……may be a good time to address the annoying tranny noise http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/help-wanted/37684-tranny-noise.html

Off the tranny went to "BigDogTech01" Andrew (just in case your living under a rock, Andrew is a forum member whom amongst other things specializes in rebuilding our transmissions at an extremely reasonable price. Oh and I should mention that he turns them around rather immediately – at times “while you wait”).

Other than the complete tear down and replacement of all bearings, clips, etc. We changed the pulley, you wonder why? Check this post by Andrew…http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/transmission-drive/48953-drive-pulley-please-note.html
take this man’s advice and you can save your pulley and some $$$.

Well now that the tranny was off…replaced the wheel bearings. And since the wheel was off rebuilt the rear caliper and replaced the rear brake pads…lol.

Needless to say I buttoned it all back together and took the bike out for a spin yesterday, All I can say is – THANK YOU Andrew. The bike rides well, absolutely NO noise from the tranny and “life is G@@D”. I must mention we ran into a snag when Baker shipped the incorrect pulley to us and the replacement took a while. All throughout, Andrew was patient and communicated with me in detail, this was just exceptional. And all along I thought I was the perfectionist!!!! You should have seen the way Andrew had packed and shipped out the tranny – one would need more than a sledge hammer to put a dent in it.

Andrew - Cannot thank you enough.
