Tranny alignment

Just had a general question I should get my transmission back from Andrew on Thursday just thinking through the process I want to make sure that the transmission is in correct alignment. My thought process was to install the inner primary first bolted to engine to make sure I have a true alignment when installing transmission. Or if anybody has another way that I can ensure correct alignment

That should work. On the rebuild I left the motor loose until I fitted the trans and rear wheel.....lined everything up straight and torqued it down.

If I understand this correctly, you didn't loosen your motor, Neither did I, so when I got the tranny back I put all new o-rings on the rear primary plate and bolted it fast to the motor. I then did the same for the tranny and snugged the bolts from the rear primary plate to the tranny and this lifted the tranny in position and the tranny mount shims fit perfectly back where they were when I removed them. All was good

That is the exact procedure Blacktopper and I did with my K9 transmission. Inner primary in place and torqued (15-18 ft. Lbs./blue)...then lay down the shims...then torque the transmission to the inner primary.....the torque the transmission to the lower frame (45 ft lbs/blue--I assume this applies to both the bottom and inner primary transmission mount bolts, but it's a good idea to double check on the mount bolts for the inner primary). I kept track of what shims were where and replaced them as found.
That was several thousand miles ago--so far so good.

Did you ask Andrew???
