Looking to convert 06 TP boxes to s&s.I have found a set to purchase, included is boxes&covers and seals & bolts.

Will i also need to replace the TP rockers and pushrods, with S&S or will the TP work with the S&S boxes?

The rockers should be change to S&S as well to correct the guide wear alignment problem.

I don't think that the push rods have to be changed, but I'm not sure about that.

Maybe one of the others can answer that.

The TP rockers will bolt in the S&S box, but I recommend you use the S&S rockers for peace of mind. Many conversations I have had with S&S about the issue with the TP boxes the bolt holes are drilled off center just enough to screw up alignment. Now the TP rockers I have seen fail quite often. The roller tips have dropped off, the clip holding the pin into rocker fell off causing the roller to fall into spring and binding valve just enough to bend it also causing the guide to break also.

Spend the extra money on S&S rockers.

You can pay it now or you can pay it later!

Yes Dead you are correct:2thumbs:

kurtxt, I am going to make this same mod begining plus a few other things this weekend. Change to the S&S roller rockers and you may want to go ahead and have the valve guides changed. Check the pushrod holes and if they are ovaled you probably should change them also.

I'm confused now Marv.. I was under the impression the 117 S&S motors were EVO Style?
Lots of people are confused on the new SSW+ motors that have been used since 05. They are an evo motor with twin cam style heads or breather systems. The S&S website explains it all as it's there version of the HD heads.
