TP Motor?

some basic questions as I continue to search for a Big Dog to buy, Thanks in Advance.

What is a TP motor?

What is the (basic if any) difference between a TP motor and an S&S?

Does anyone know if a 2001 Vintage Sport had the TP or S&S motor. Thanks.

TP is an engine company, S&S is a different engine company. I don think Big Dogs ever came with TP engines...but I am sure someone here will correct me if I am wrong...lol!

Thanks for the info. I have seen some listed as having S&S motors and some with TP motors.

In 2001 the Wolf, Bulldog, Pro Sport and Vintage Sport had TP Motors. The Mastiff, Boxer, Huskey and Pitbull were S&S.

Here's a wierd one. My o4 pit had the 107 S&S with S&S heads. My buddy's 05 pit has the 117 S&S motor with TP heads. Why, I don't know.

Well Mike,sadly I haven't been able to ride as much as I would like to,due to a F'd up back and shitty weather(summer sucked hrere),I manged to top 4 grand,are you leading me somewhere?
