I remember new car shopping with my dad years ago and the dealer had a special Teflon coating on the cars and the salesman would lay a lite cigarette on the hood and it didn't harm the paint.
I think I remember a commercial like that or sumth'n.

I use it on my two show cars. Takes about 15 minutes to do a whole car. Easier than any of the 20 different detailers I have used in the past and really lays down a shine. Don't know how long it would last out in the elements because I don't leave my cars/bikes out. Carnuba is waaaay outdated. It builds up and yellows over time. Must keep stripping it off. Not the new polymers. Top Coat is expensive but one bottle will do a car about 20 or more times. You do want to clay before you use it to have a smooth surface. You spray a light coat and buff it with a micro fiber towel and then buff it again with a dry new micro fiber towel.

$19 or $20 for a 16 oz spray bottle on Amazon.
I have been using DriWash and Guard for some time now. It always does a fantastic job, and a little goes a long ways. I use it on our cars too, as long as it's just a road film, not mud, it looks great. I can do Susan's Lexus in about 15 minutes.
Hides swirls and minor blems until you get around to buffing them out.....
