To go from 250mm to 300m?

Is it possible to modify the 04 chopper and fit it with a 300mm rear tire?

If so, what might it cost and how would I do it myself?

its a pain I heard and I wish it was easier but something to look into but with left side drive it may be even harder and not worth it. My .02 cents

Anything is possible. All you have to do is apply a bunch of money to the subject area and stand back. In reality, if you are looking, you might want to find something with a 300 tire already installed and save yourself some time, money. Check out some of the K9s on here for a starter and you will be impressed.

This subject has come up before. I think all the questions were answered, do a search and see what might have came from that. I believe the final word was what PK just stated, you might just want to buy a 300 series scoot to get where you want to be because it will cost ya some good bucks to make it happen...

It's possible, but not at all easy. Do a search.

Basically

Convert to chain and sprotor, wider fender, and a whole bunch of custom made spacers. We never determined if you need a new swingarm or not, no way to really know until you have the wheel and conversion parts.

On the flip side, you could probably get it all done for what it will cost you for an open primary on a RSD bike, or a single new DSSC transmission.
