I look at whether they warranty their work or not. I had my front end done on my Harley, forks, trees, wheel, and caliper. The shop I went through guaranteed their work for 3 years so I went for it and haven't been disappointed. That was 4 years ago and the chrome still looks flawless.
Whatever you choose you still need to keep it clean. It doesn't matter how good your chrome is if you put it away with salt or other corrosives on it. I learned that the hard way years ago.
