Did they ever do anything about the seam split? It hasn't bothered me its kinda funny when someone points it out...Hell my old tire had 6200 on it...you could see the split in it to.... but anyway that is a really good price.. cheaper than any Ive seen so far..

Good price however when my front Avon had splits, I changed to a Metzler. When the rear needs to be replaced also changing it to a Metzler. Avon is dead to me. lol

I ran Metzlers once
Didn't like the ride or the look so I have stayed with AVON
I have yet to have a splitting issue, knock on wood.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like they sell Metzler though.

I had no problem with the Avon's either, but my buddy(Postman) had both the front and rear fail(sidewall splits on front, end splice separation and sidewall splits on rear), we both went with Metzler with our last set. I would also like to hear that all problems resolved with Avon because I like their tires better.

Three tires split on me with the Avons. No more for me, i'm riding on Metzlers also...
