Bruce ~ thanks for the relief of confidence from the high miles man. Have been lookin at a couple bikes in the 15,000 - 20,000 range and kinda nervous but with anything if it has good service records and been well cared for should be alright. Glad to hear that you have such good luck with yours.

Scuba ~ yeah man im with ya on the 300's looks. The 250's look good and all but that 300 sure does complete the K-9!

I wish I had more money.
One more factor to take in. The 03 and earlier bikes use aftermarket Harley parts which are a fraction of the price to change or replace. The Bigdog proprietary parts are a bit more of a hit in the pocketbook. And I promise. You will be buying stuff. 03 and earlier had far less electrical issues. The 107 is a rock solid motor. My 107 puts down numbers higher than a number of the 117's. In 05 they started using the EPA motors. Restrictors, taller jugs and smaller valves in the heads. When or if they stopped doing that I'm not sure. If I had a choice I would have an 04 117 on an 03 wiring.
