Hey all! I just bought a trailer for my move to Illinois and wanted to see what type of tie downs you guys are using. I have an 08 Pitbull and don't want to scratch her up... Any help would be much appreciated!!

I use powertyte straps 2" set, work great with the soft coverin not to scratch the dog

Also remember to not strap them to your bars, put the ends around the trees

PowerTye American Made Tie-Downs,Motorcycle Tie downs,Big Daddy, Soft tie,Ratchet Tie Downs
I have #32570 Powertye straps, Big Daddy 2" ratchet w/2 Chromacoat secure hooks, I use the soft-covered Acra straps around my trees in the front and I lay a towel through my rear wheel and lay a strap across the towel and pull it tight to the floor so it won't hop around on you. Whatever you do don't go cheap on a set of straps or sooner or later you'll be sorry.....

yep what he said, you spent this much on a sweet bike, last thing you want to do is see it on its side due to a cheap set of straps from walmart, or scratched up due to them rubbing on your trees

not a bad idea to double strap. they have been known to come loose. and get one of those remote cameras to keep an eye on things when driving.

We did a Group Buy for the powertyte straps 2" set, and got fantastic prices.
Here is the linky to that thread. If there is enough interest, we may be able to work out another "deal".

If there is enough interest, we could see if Powertyte would sponsor another Group buy.

These are the finest tiedown straps money can buy. Far better than all my others, and i got lots

I have found that with my 14 over front end i cant go to the trees with alot of pressure, so I go around my fender mounts with one set of tie downs with soft ties with all the pressure and one more set to trees with just a little tension for safe measure... No more stress on fork seals... The back i go to both sides with soft ties as well.... Doesent move a bit..
