These are the worst kickstands in the world!

Just to add to the overall conversation going on here...

I have an '07 K9 with air ride and installed the aftermarket kickstand that Wild Steed Worx offers. (They have an adjustable length one too, but I went with the non-adjustable one.) I generally let all the air out of the rear shock when I park, and the new kickstand leans the bike perfectly now, in my opinion. It is much more sturdy and secure than the stock one.

I tried the Arlen Ness adjustable kick stand on my K9 - It hit the rear brake line and wiring when folded up. I'm going to try it again with 1 more of the little flat plates that the stand mounts to - maybe 2 of them will space it out enough - I hope

Not sure about the adjustable Arlen Ness kickstand, but my non-adjustable one has a little set screw that allows you to change how far back it folds. Mine initially hit the rear brake line until I tweaked that screw.

Didn’t see a stop adjustment - all I saw was a set screw to lock the length of it - I’ll have to look at it again - thanks

BTW, I was able to get rid of the mounting plate completely with the non-adjustable aftermarket stand. If you can't get the Ness one to work, you might want to try it.

Mine did too, so I widened the detent so it does not fold up as high and clears fine now.

Make it easy on yourselves. I switched from air ride ( hard tail height when parked ) to fournalis shocks ( always full hight).

I got WSW (wild steed worx) extended kick.stand and it it's perfect. It still looks like it bends too far, but the parked lean angle.is just right.

This is how I have to park my bike to feel comfortable , front wheel in the chock , 2 boards and slight tension from a strap. The wheel chock alone will hold the bike straight up and down but I wouldn't trust it so I go overboard.
I have tried the fixes on this site on the kickstand but even those small strap of Steel still had it wobbly , I do have a new bushing coming but I doubt that's going to take care of the wobble and looseness.
There are plenty of threads on kick stands, I'll invest in what seems to be a favorite
My 2004 Mastiff was leaning way too far! Ordered the BDM 1" extended kickstand, problem solved! With the exception of being hard to find without looking & it pops up with little effort! Always need to double check it to make sure that it is down all of the way!
