I know this has been covered, just couldn't find it. Low beam is not working and it does not jump to high. Changed the whole headlight and the plug as well. Turn on the high and it works, the low will not come on. Pulled the tank and checked all the connections and greased them all. This is getting aggrevating. Checked all battery connections and fixed them all. Still no low. Put new bulb in old headlight, still no low. How about throwing me a bone here.

Check your high and low beam control switch (Circuit board) at the handle Bar. If it got wet in anyway it might be giving you problems. If it turns out to be good, then I would say the issue could be the EHC.

If you happend to need the left circuit board and can not find one . I have a new one that I bought as a spare some time back, let me know. Hope that bone is big enough for you :lol:

Replaced the left control and still no low beam. The speedo is working sometimes and most of the time not. Bike runs great otherwise. Only one red light on EHC. but runs great.

WOW sorry to hear it didn't work for you. I still think its a wiring problem. Did you check if you have power at the connector under the tank. If you have power there, it could be the harness going from under the tank to the bucket. If no power under the tank connector than I would blame the EHC for sure. Good Luck

My 08 K9 would mysteriously shift to high beam, then only had high beam, then no light at all. Turned out to be a halfway melted plug inside the headlight bucket. POS plastic--good thing Blacktopper noticed ,cuz it lost the ground. Replaced the melted plastic one with ceramic for about two bucks and everything has been just ducky.
The Dead One on another forum has fairly extensive posts on this issue.

I would order a new headlight wiring harness from big dog performance for about 25.00. one of my wires had melted and gave me similar symptoms.

You might want to check the EHC "B" connector pin connection to be clean and solid. Put dielectric grease on both when you reassemble to the EHC.

B38 High beam
B39 Low beam
B22 Ground
