Hey guys, was talking to a few chrome shops, getting quotes for getting a couple things plated. One shop i talked to said they don't plate tappet guides because some people run into clearance issues. I was under the impression that the whole chroming process only adds a few thousandths of an inch (8-12). I wasn't aware that the blocks had that little clearance. Should i stay away from chroming them? or is their a way to keep the clearance area unchromed? or is their nothing to worry about?
