1. Cut out wind noise
2. When plugged into your smart phone, you can hear Google map give you directions so there is no need in heavy traffic to pull over and read a map.
3. Yes you can listen to your music and relax.
I will have all my equipment with me at BB&B so if you want ear plugs or ear buds I will be able to do both.
