tachometer removal??

Hey all!! Great site. This is my first post (outside of the intro thread)

I have an 03 Mastiff. I am wanting to put a fairing on the bike. The tach is right in the way mounted on top of the handlebars. I have thought about relocating it. Not many options there.

So now I am thinking about eliminating it all together, but I know that the speedo and tach have some communication with the ecm. Will removing the tach cause me any headaches??

Nope, your bike didn't come with it. All the 03's had the connector under the dash for the tach option. Just unplug it and it'll be back to stock.

the tach will not give you any problems if you un hook it. just un bolt it from the handle bars, follow the wire and un plug it.

Very easy. I just took mine off to do different handlebars. When you take it off go ahead and send it to me and I'll take care off it.
