tach wiring question

I bought a tach off of ebay and it didnt come with the harness adapter. Can I clip off both ends and wire it direct or do I need to get the adapter?? The pics show the tach with the big connector and the adapter harness. Thanks...C

Yes, the tach can be wired up direct.

Red - 12 volts positive battery
Black- Ground
Green- Tach signal from ignition (green wire as well)

That should get you up and running!!

I don't remember a harness adapter on mine it pluged in under the dash.

You have everything you need if what you have is in this picture. Just plug it in under the dash cover. You wiring harness is already set to recieve it.
