Tach-Ring

Energy One
BDM Tachometer Ring 2008-UP EFI. Does anyone out there know how can I examine the tachometer ring itself to ensure it's faulty or not. All lights work except for the tach, there's power at pin B32, have continuity at the EFI Ctrl interface plug pin 3 thru A5 thru B47. The shop manual I have doesn't explain that process. Thanks

just a hunch. its got to be a variable load to have the tach ramp up. like a VFD.

We have a test bench that uses a frequency generator, which I believe is what's on the tach ring but I'm no electrical engineer so I don't know for sure, to test them. I don't know of any documentation that gives any type of test procedure for it though.
