Looking to have some motor work done. Wanting to gain hp and make the 117run to it's potential. Last year I put the 600 S&S cam, G carb, lost the restrictor plates. Where should I go from here? Planning on the thunderheart ingnition system, and the 640 springs and looking for suggestions on cams and other upgrades. would also like to have some machine work done. Live in KS and looking for some bike shops. I know there are some guys on here that can do the work just need pointed in the right direction. thanks

The upgrades you have already done didn't do the trick ??
much more and you'll be lookin at full time race fuel & that shit is spendy I have a drum of it in my garage for my boat, if you start punchin out cylinders, more cam etc. thats where your gona be.

Which bike did you do the work on? If you are talking about the 05, which I think you are because of the restristors, then when you do the valve springs change the valves also. The valves in the 05 are smaller because of BD trying to meet EPA standards in Cal. The programable ignition will be plus also. John Sachs a member here on the forum did my head work very reasonable price and very good work. He has a race shop down south FL. Send him a PM, he can help you get all the hp you want.

I was waiting for John Sachs to chime in. Yes it is the 05 chop. hollywouldjohnny what about alot of the other members that are running bigger cams than the 600. Are you saying that they are haveing to run the race fuel?

Can make major improvements.No need to run race gas.:2thumbs:

I would consider cylinder head work, a Wood 9B, or 9F, bore the "G", and Thundejet as well.
That'll get your attention!!!!!!!!:lol:
