Well I finally replaced my stock clutch with a Bandit Bruiser. Just for the heck of it being an early 05'. Lots of advice from you guys and it looks like it going to work great ... would of test ride it tonight but I don't want to get wet since it's raining. :loony: Had a few bumps along the way but made it thru the install. So anybody that want some cheap stock parts just pm me.
or check my garbage can tomorrow. :D

Rode the dog with my new Bandit clutch ... man what a difference ... no clucking into first ... can go into neutral easy (or easier) ... glad I did it myself ... more personal with my bike now ... she's my baby .. I think my wife is jealous ... but ..... oh well ... got a 05'? just change over the a Bandit. Best upgrade so far ... what's next? hummmmmmm guys let me know ... thanks ... :D

I installed 2 shims (that's what Rod did). Got 2 quarts of Amsoil from Bandit what they recommend and those guys are great ... Customer Service 200%. I haven't taken it on a test ride yet ... but this morning I'm going to work for a few hours ... had some vibration that I was worried about but it was just the top motor bolt had come loose the 2nd time ... had lock tite on it a few years ago and lost a bolt ... interesting that my BigDog dealer where I had just had it serviced at 5k just sent me a new one ... no charge. Should check it more often ... :D
And Lee you are right ... about f-N time .... :bang: :D

Low Down Chop Shop
I ran no shims in mine for quite some time without any slippage even hammer down with a passenger. Last time I had it apart I stuck one shim in just to see what it was like. A lot stiffer I'd say that! I'll probably pull them next time apart.
