and I use the stainless heim joints that I got from McMaster Carr...had them on my bike for over a year now..no problems...part # is in this thread...not bad for $11.34 a piece

cool Neil!:2thumbs: yep....I like the stainless ones....shifts smoother too! the only problem I had was when I first ordered them...I thought that I needed a Rh thread and a LH thread one...but I have the Wicked Image shifter linkage and both ends are RH threads...I just called them back and they sent me another RH thread one and I sent the LH thread one back...simple is that!

I still have the BDM shifter on mine so one of each. I read in your other post about the wicked linkage.... Good it was easy to resolve unlike other problems that happen..

The Heims joints came in and I installed them. Not like I can ride it with the snow and ice but I did something this winter..

Do these heims have the teflon in them? How's the shine of the stainless...look like chrome?

Mine started acting up this way when my clutch hub nut backed off, might want to check it out just to be safe.
