Take your battery to a bike shop and have them do a load test. If you need a new one get at least 300CA's for sure starts. A new battery without a tender can go bad in no time without regular riding.

Same thing happened to me. I replaced my battery with a factory BDM only because I got an incredible deal on it. Havent a problem since. My replacement mileage was around 28,000 miles/4 yrs after the original purchase. Pretty damn lucky from what I've been told!
Take care all.

I have a 2005 mastiff it did same thing but what I found out and this with new battery that the starter was full of oil. had starter rebuild for 90 dollars and seem to work fine. Does your bike have the up dates on inner primary cover the air vent bolt to help relieve pressure of the primary? they said the pressure in primary caused the oil to back up in starter. It happened to me!!!

Had same clogged vent problem w/2007 Chopper. Cost $400+ in new starter to fix - all for not checking a $few part!
Where did you have starter rebuilt? I want to rebuild my old one for a backup.
