Squeaking noise?!

Have 07 k-9 woth 8000 miles. I have developed an amazingly irritating squeaking noise that reminds me of wet rubber rubbing against a metal surface.
It is not affected by RPMs and not affected by speed of the wheels. As close as I can tell its related to the suspension caused by the road surface. With the ignition off and coasting down hill the effect of the road surface causes the noise.. The sound seems to come from the front of the bike on the left side. I can't make it squeak sitting still jumping on the pegs. I removed tank and recounted it. Now what?

Re-read several times and could not determine if the noise is only present when the bike is moving or at idle and not moving also? Based on this sentence... " As close as I can tell its related to the suspension caused by the road surface. With the ignition off and coasting down hill the effect of the road surface causes the noise. " Could it be your front wheel bearings?

I had two places where my bike was making a chirping/squeaking noise, one was my front little spoiler on my bulldog was rubbing against the frame as it has a crack in it and it's not real tight anymore, I put a little bit of electric tape down there on the frame seem to have solved the problem, and second the bolt that goes through the left side to the right side that holds the cover over my fuel injectors was a little loose tighten that up and chirping went away. And yes I looked and looked and looked for what could be making that noise and this was what mine was yours could be different but I would check those two areas if you have the same parts.

Thanks I'll look in the morning. Thats makes me think about the possibilty of the battery box covers.

Those squeaky noises can travel. Meaning it may be in the front, when it's actually sounds in the back. Vent tube in the gas tank, loose gas tank, loose front fender, sissy bar. Those are a few I've run into.

Mine had a squeek like that once and I liked to never have found it. Thought it was coming from the front end. It was my top motor mount. It was loose. Might want to check it. Simple and easy thing to check

I'm all in on the louder exhaust but so far I haven't figured out how to get more volume out of my K & H big radius pipes.

could the squeak be coming from the front brake rotor? most do squeak due to them being drilled.

I looked over my engine mounts and found the one under the tank was below torque spec. About 40 lbs instead I'd 60 lbs. Wrenching on that enough of a change that now ill pull the tank loose and tighten the two om top of the heads which is unacessable with an Allen socket and torque wrench. Thanks for the advice everybody
