Squeaking Noise coming from Front Left Side.

There is a squeaking noise while in motion coming from either the left front fork tube, braker area, or wheel. I can't figure it out because when I put the clutch in to stop and then stop....the noise goes away. The noise itself is driving me bonkers.

I have heard mention that some experience noises from under their gas tank (where the rubber stopper stabilizes the tank) but that isn't the area the noise is coming from.

I am worried because I completed a front fork "overhaul" about a month ago and I don't want anything to come back to bite my ass.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

One simple thing to do is while you hear the noise slightly apply the front brake enough for the pads to drag and start to slow you down. If you still have the noise you can probbaly rule out the brake.

Might want to lift the front off the ground and spin the tire and see if you can hear anything as well.

Prob gonna be process of elimination unless someone else has had a similar or same situation and can lead you to it.

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. I located the issue (which was suggested by a couple of you above) and it was the top engine mount. Tightened it up and the noise went away.

big relief for me because I thought I had to take something apart again!
