Spring Startup question

Hi all,
Ok, I know spring is still far away but I got this thought in my head that I have to ask. By the time I start up in April, my bike would have been untouched for at least 6 months.I would assume the oil in the piston areas would by now have drained to the bottom of the crank. My question is this...

What is the best way to start up? As usual and let it
idle for two minutes?
OR
With the engine OFF, place it in 3rd or 6th gear and
move the bike slowly in gear(if you can) to slowly dip the pistons into the oil and bring it up prior to starting? It would be slow on the wear and tear..SO I think anyway. Correct me if I am wrong please...

I am not a mechanic, so I am sure in this forum I will get some good responses and answers.

Thanks again for all!!
