Hey Ok so I added a pair of 2" 50watt spotlights from Headwinds. worked at first then the fuse popped and continues to do so. lights are wired directly to battery with a circuit fuse inline and using a HD waterproof accessory button switch mounted in hole drilled into the coil cover. still running EHC. is there a built in accessory wiring harness I could use or is it best to run as is?

There is no accessory harness connection for lights or other. Connecting to the battery is the best/only method.

What fuse is always blowing?
Is it the new one you installed in-line with the two new 50w spots?

What is the fuse rated at?
The fuse is blowing because it's not large enough for the circuit load.

You are looking at around 8 amps of power draw from the 13 volt battery (average running voltage) for those two 50w lights. That may pushing the limit on the stator/voltage regulator as well.

Bigdog Bro1,

no it didn't start blowing until I had taken it out for a longer ride. the roads suck (snow damage) . originally a 20 watt fuse tried 35 as well. called headwinds they said wire may be pinched and grounding. I saw a wire connector next to battery wrapped up and tied, know what its for. another topic are any alarms plug n play as they advertise?

Are you talking about a 20amp fuse and not a 20watt fuse?

A 20 amp fuse should be enough if the circuit draws 8 amps or so. You may have a wiring problem.

Is it a normal blade type automotive fuse?

Don't know what that wire would be for, but don't use it!!! That's a good way to blow out the EHC...Could be for Air Ride?

The Scorpion alarm Bro2 had on his bike had the ignition kill relay kick in while riding so we removed the unit. I don't recommend any. I use a brake rotor lock on the rear or keep an eye on the bike.
