spike air cleaner

i see that some people like them and some dont . do they allow more to the carb then the stock air cleaner. what are the down sides of the spike . from what ive seen the spike made by D&M is the best looking one is any one of the spikes better then the other.. and does any one have a complete spike air cleaner set up for a 07 k-9 for sell. i might be interesred in it. thanks Robbie

I love mine Maro, diamond cut and looks absolutely perfect on my bike, now you can earn a couple more horse power with some other aftermarket air filters as others will soon be saying, there is a thread that shows tons of them, you probably already saw this but here's the link.

yea brooks i did see that but thanks any way.. i see all the other one but to me they just dont have the style that the spike does and they dont give you the extra leg room like the spike either. that a bad ass ride you got love the black out . when you put yours on did you have to do any jet changes . i had mine rejeted when i put the 2 into 1 V-H on it

I have one on my o7 k9 and it had to be rejetted,it pulls in more air than stock one

Mine was rejetted Maro, but I had the dealership do it at the same time as the pipes change (V&H2-2) and the filter change. Not sure what jets I am running, since i let them do it for me. I appreciate the compliment on the bike. I have some more I want to do to it, but it will have to wait until I get the bitch paid off.

Mine would never run right. It cost me 5 HP on the dyno. Got rid of the piece of crap. I say if your just a real slow cruiser type, never really crack the throttle quick and hard, it may be just fine. It can't bring enough air in that quick. Me, I like to make the Dog run. They do look good though.

Dude, relax. You need to get laid or something. I wasn't saying shit to know one. I gave my opinion on the spike like he asked. Some guys ride slower than others, thats why I built my motor. Some guys like looks. Your wifes calling you, go home. To everyone else, have a awesome day.
