Okay, somehow my odometer went from miles to kilometers. Does anyone know how to get it back to miles? :bang:

This is what I have in the 2005 Service Manual. Should work for the 06 also unless something major has changed.

"The speedometer has the capability to display speed in both MPH (miles per hour) and KM?H (kilometers per hour). There are 6 digits that appear in the odometer display window when the speedometer is powered up. If the speedometer is set to display KM/H there will be a dot between the first and second digit in the upper part of the window.

The dot will not be present if the speedo is set up to read MPH (see Figures 6-20 and 21). To change from KM?H to MPH or visa versa simply hold down the button on the front of the speedometer while turning on the ignition key and a set of dashed lines will appear (see Figure 6-22). The button has to already be depressed before the key switch is turned an. When the dashed lines are visible, continue holding the button until the display changes from dashed lines to a numeric reading.

The dot that is in the upper part of the display between the first and second digit will either appear or disappear depending which mode the speedo was in at the beginning of the process. The process can be repeated as many times as desired.

After the speedo is powered with the button depressed it will take about 7 seconds to for the change to happen. Any value that is in the trip reading will be lost and reset to zero and all the values that are stored (pulse count and odometer reading) will automatically be converted to match either MPH or KM/H depending on the desired mode of display."

Hope this helps, let us know how you make out!!

Fiber...that was the right answer. What a cluster...the BD dealer in CO and UT where both telling me I needed a new speedo because my odometer was going crazy...tracking about 1.6 miles for each mile driven and then the sales guy in UT goes "it switched to kilometers"...dah! But the dealer couldn't tell me how to switch it back:confused: Thanks for the help...Now back on the road!
