Hello fellow dog owners, My problem is i have just put a wire plus kit in my 04 chopper. went for a ride about 50 miles and everthing was working. Next day no speedometer reading. just reads zero so has power. i then replaced the speed senser and still just reads Zero. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated, Happy and safe riding!

Same thing is happing to my 08 ridgeback. After the wire plus install all worked fine. 2 days later out for ride and speedo fall to zero. No mileage no speedo all the lights work and still dose a self check. Have check the plug under the gas tank, the wiring from the wire plus but nothing. I checked the power and ground on the seed sensor all good.

I contacted wire plus and they said to check the gap adjustment on the speed sesor. Does anybody no what this is or how to do this? Cheers

I've looked thru the form and internet and can't find anything. My speedo is doing the same thing, and I don't have wire plus or an EHC. Has anybody else ever heard of an adjustment on the sensor?

Proximity sensors normally do require some sort of air gap setting and have a maximum distance that they will work for the max frequency they are intended for.

I would check for the signal coming into the Wire+. If the sensor is a two wire then most likely it's an AC/sinusoidal type signal....not DC. If you can visually see the sensor air gap distance you could close the gap a bit to test that idea.
