speedometer field calabration

I have a 2008 Mutt, original owner. A long while back my speedo/odomete started readingabout 13% fast andthe odo willread abou 13% moremilesthan i have driven I went thru the field calabration -hold trip set turn on key cont to hold etc. The ododmeter than went to the normal miles read, not a pluse count. stoppedat 2 miles pressed andrealeased the trip button, (BIKE STILL RUNNING) The speedo is still out the same. When i start up thebike to ride the "pluse count" is 43222 not halg of 98880. Any ideas, am i doingsomethingwrong, etc?

did you use a known 2 miles (like two mile markers) or did you use two miles from the odemeter? If you used the odometer instead of a known 2 miles then you didn't change anything.

put it on a stand to raise the rear tire and let her spin til ya get 98880

I bought a Digital Dakota Speedo last year and solved all of my speedo issues. Just saying!
