I was not aware that if you get a Dakota Digital that you need a new speed sensor also, I am probably one of the few that doesn't have one yet, I'm sure someone who knows will let you know.

No need for a new speed sensor , it was a pita to calibrate .

I put a dakota in mine just because I wanted one and didn't need a speed sensor I didn't even need to calibrate it as it was dead on

Yea well I never heard of anyone having to change the speed sensor so why is Mike say'n he can't find a speedo to work with his sensor? Maybe you can tell him where to get the right one.

I didn’t get the replacement one I can’t auto calculate mine or manual just doesn’t seem to pick it up

Well that explains that! Ok, now I see why you need a new sensor! Old school wired I see....

Jack up the bike, and pull the plug out of the back of the speedometer, put a voltmeter on the green wire and turn the wheel slowly. It should read, 0-5-0-5-0 volts.
If you get nothing, pull the sensor and clean it. If it is reading voltage, check the wiring in the plug. When I put mine on, I couldn't get it to work,and found they put the wires in the plug wrong.

I have a similar set up on my k9, didn't need to calibrate anything, programmed tire size and it's on par.
