Speedo problems???

When I turn the ignition key on my 06 MASTIFF the speedo makes its sweep and bike will start, but many times the speedo don"t work. Tach works fine. Any suggestions please....

My 06 k9 did the same thing I went with the dakota digital works everytime looks great also you can try and clean the sensor

When your speedo acted up, were you able to check your trip mileage? I ask because mine did the same thing, needle did its sweep and the tach worked fine. It didn't register speed, mileage or trip miles.

Fortunately, it hasn't done it in awhile.

Had the same problem changed out the speedo nope wasn't it. changed out the the speed sensor and urka it works. Try the cheapest before changing the speedo

My 05 chopper did the same thing. Put new battery in, worked for a little while then failed again. Went to the braille battery and it has started and worked perfect since. Just my 2 cents.

Still curious on what bike you have, is it an '06 Mastiff as you state has the issue or is it "My Bike(s): 07 mastiff"

KnotSo I do have an 06 MASTIFF, fat fingered it and submitted as an 07. Yeah SLAM same as your problem, thanks for the offer MAD DOG will keep you in mind. Where is the sensor located?? Will start with the cheapest route first and see where it takes me

I'm having the same problem and hope the Dakota Digital I ordered will solve the problem. Mine does it 75% of the time and the only fix is if I turn the key off while riding in gear and turn it back on and hit the run button to start it back up.
