speedo/odometer

My 2008 Mutt Speedo/odometer reads about 10% high. when we go out together the other bikes will read a distance of 60 miles and mine will read in the 70's

maybe yours is the one that is right

actually sounds like yours is reading in Kph instead of Mph. check your owner's manual for the procedure.

i thinkur "snipe hunting" me any way my owners manual says nothing aboout KPH just MPH.I know it is my speedo cause I been going down the freeway and getting passed by PRIUIS'.

maybe just a little but if you have a service manual (coulda swore it was in the owner's manual) look in the section under electrical/speedometer and it will give the procedure for calibrating the speedometer. take a look and good luck.

I forgot who sent methe linkfor the speedo clabration instructions, I went tothe bike andturned the key on, acording to the 07 service manual the speedo should sweep to 60MPH and back to 0 which it does than the odometer displays 43222 , but acording to the manual page it should display 49440 pulses. The manual page thati have also says if u trun on and of real quick the2ndtime the needle should go BELOW ZERO and a number/pulses will appear in theodometer window.When i do it it acts just likethe1st time needlegoes to 60MPH and odo shows 43222???
